Major-Minor Scale in Indonesia

Dear Friends, how are you?

I want to share something regards to my opinion about our closest surrounding. I am inspired after I watched Youtube recording of Ligwina Hananto's statement about triple majority and her political view which is not really political base on her owned opinion. :)

I studied in Catholic school for many years and it makes me could not realize at the beginning that I am a part of minority society. I 'awake' when in my childhood, my neighbor start asking about my religion and when I come to her birthday party and made the sign of the cross. Her face show disliking. Pity of me, I am the only one there who did it. When I grew up becoming adult, I believe 100% that the major-minor scale is not really matter when you indeed respect other as other human.

Actually, the majority and minority scale in each district in Indonesia is different one to another. In Java the major society is Javanese and Moeslem, in Ambon  is Ambonese and Christian, in Bali is Balinese and Hindu.

So why many regional regulation cannot be sensitive on this matter? Why there is regional regulation based on certain religion? I hope for better Indonesia with pluralism dimension.
