"Iya nggak cuma dilempar korek api nyala tapi juga diintipin?! Ini bener2 kasus," Miss Selfish menimpali. "Kemarin malam ada orang ribut2 ngejar maling. Trus ada suara genteng digeser. Trus suara Santa teriak, dia yakin ada orang di atap kamarnya." MiIss Chit-Cchat menambahkan.

Aku masih duduk di koridor belakang ruang 408, rumah sakit tempat aku lahir dulu, tunggu kegiatan menelpon Mas-ku selesai. Sementara itu calon adik iparku masih mondar-mandir dengan mobile phonenya. Apa ada hubungannya dengan yang terbaring di ranjang 408 ini? Nggak tahu, yang aku tahu cuma Mas-ku- lagi telpon Boss-nya. Maksudnya yg perlu Bossnya tapi Mas-ku yang disuruh telpon. Rupanya Bengbeng sedang telpon gaul, sesekali dia ketawa. Eyang yang kemarin malam dikabarkan kritis. Aku memang lihat, dia sesekali mengigau. sementara ponakan dan cucu-cucunya sibuk berdoa di sekelilingnya. Aku disuruh ikutan berdoa. Tapi aku nggak mau kok malah kesannya 'ngusir' Eyang?! " Wong pasrah, kok?!" kata Masku. Aku senyum dan cepat minggir begitu ada rombongan datang lagi membuat kamar semakin sumpek. Kasihan kalau Eyang nggak bisa napas. Sampai rumah, si Kasep sedang asyik ngobrol di telpon dengan seseorang, "Pacaran, ya?!" "Pacaran apa sih, wong ini Jadul" ...

Hawa libur mulai terasa. Mata yang udah kriyep2, plus bangku2 karyawan yang beberapa kosong karena penguasanya sudah pamit cuti, membuat para pekerja keras ingin cepat pulang menikmati liburan mulai besok tanggal 2 sampai 8 November. Hujan yang mulai sering mengguyur Jakarta juga membuat saya pengin tinggal di rumah, nonton TV sambil minum teh panas....Mmmh, siap-siap cium dengkul, bagi2 angpao dan perbaikan gizi.
